Why I Created Two Solaramo Cay Series

One of the questions I get asked most often is why Solaramo Cay has both a main series and a separate FLINGS series.

The answer is simple.

Because I love reading both.

Sometimes I want to completely disappear into a world.

I want to spend days with the characters. I want to watch relationships develop slowly. I want to become invested in their lives, their friendships, their struggles, and their triumphs. I want the setting to feel so real that I miss it when I reach the final page.

That's what inspired the Love on Solaramo Cay novels.

The main series is built for immersion. These books take their time. They explore emotional healing, personal growth, found family, and the deep connections that can change a life forever. The characters don't simply fall in love. They build lives.

But there are other days when I want something different.

Sometimes I just want a quick romance.

A beautiful location.

Two people with undeniable chemistry.

A few hours of escape from the real world.

A satisfying happy ending.

Those are the days that inspired the Solaramo Cay FLINGS.

The FLINGS are shorter, faster, and designed to deliver all the romance, warmth, and island atmosphere of Solaramo Cay in a more compact story. They're perfect for a weekend read, a holiday read, or simply an evening when you want to fall in love before bedtime.

The wonderful thing is that both series share the same island.

Even when you're reading a FLING, you're returning to Solaramo Cay.

The same beaches.

The same sunsets.

The same warm ocean water.

The same island spirit.

If you've already read the main series, visiting the island again feels a little like returning to a favourite holiday destination. The scenery is familiar. The atmosphere feels comforting. The memories are already there.

You might only be staying for a quick romance this time.

But it still feels like coming home.

That is ultimately why I created two series instead of one.

Readers aren't always looking for the same experience.

Sometimes we want to be completely immersed.

Sometimes we just want a quick escape.
